A Ryan is usually blond, blue-eyed. He's kind of good-looking, but the problem is he knows it. He loves to have fun, and is incapable of being serious. He's not a leader or an intellectual. But he is sort of athletic in a fun-loving way, not in a serious, competitive way. He chases girls even if he's 60 years old.

It's my DH's name! So I think of a good looking blonde guy with blue eyes. And nice, nice, nice! It is also my son's middle name, and my cousin's first name. All three are the sweetest people you could ever meet.

Common, boring name. Not the worst but certainly not the best.
The Ryans I know are either very nice or the exact opposite.

I think of a good looking, athletic guy. I think of the life of the party and a good friend. Dark hair and blue or green eyes. Smart but academics come after fun.

I hope this isn't quite the case as we've chosen it as a boy's name. It goes so well with Connor...but I never envisioned a Ryan president or anything. I know that's awful..but I see it more as a fun loving atheletic name.

There are about 2 million Ryan's in my grade, and all of them are short. Not that all Ryan's are short... I know some tall ones too. :)Ryan is a good name, and most people I know named Ryan are very nice people, even if it is a very common name.

Well, I honestly only know 3 Ryan's and all of them are the same. Cocky. Ryan #1 drinks alot and thinks everyone wants him. Ryan #2 doesnt go to church but thinks he knows everything about God. Ryan #3 is my cousin (his FN is Omi and his MN is Ryan but he goes by Ryan) and he is a complete jerk. He's only 14 but he acts like people owe him something. I have nothing but bad thoughts about Ryan even though I really like the name.
