Nell
I am really loving the name Nell or Nelly, i doubt i would use it by itself, but its so pretty and sounds so Scottish to me.I would love to use something Scottish for my grandmother.
What could i use that sounds somewhat scottish with the nick name Nell?Eleanore nn Nell
Eleanora nn Nella / Nell
Elinor nn Nell
Helen nn NellSome other name??

I like Nell but not Nelly.I like Elinor and Eleanora nn Nell. I do like Helen a lot but for some reason I don't like the nn Nell for it.

"Nelly" is a slang word here, meaning "idiot" - nothing unrepeatable but still, living where I live I'd probably have to stick with Nell :-) I think it's OK, just not a favourite. The full form I love is Eleanora, but I prefer it without a nickname or possibly with Ella.

I also like Elanor, Eleonore, Alienor, Elena, Yolina, Eleni, Eliana, Eliane, Elin, Eilonwy, Elina, Elnora, Eiluned, Elvina, Eilinel, Linnea, Neilina, Nephele, Lena, Leanna, Leanora, Leonora, Leilani, Magdalena, Madeline, Leona, Llewellyna, Leonor, Leliane, Lindette, Liviana...
Hope it helps!

I love all of those choices! I prefer the spellings Elanor or Eleanor, though. Eleanora is also pretty, and Elanora is an Aboriginal place name. My sister Elanor gets called Nell, Elle-Nelle or Ella-Nella as funny nicknames:-)
