Bruno (my favourite boys name!)
When you hear the name "Bruno" what do you think of? Its my favourite boys name, and I was wondering what you all thought of it? (And what MNs do you think go well with it?)

I really like the name Bruno. I don't really think of anything in particular when I hear the name though.

Bruno the "problem bear," who caused so much trouble in Germany a couple months ago.

Bruno Emil (pr. AY-mul)
Bruno Anton
Bruno Frederick
Bruno Matthias
Bruno Augustus
Bruno Eric / Erik

When I hear the name Bruno, I think of my dad, since it's his mn. :-) I like it not only because of that.I can't see it as a fn, since it is a mn to me. Both because of my dad and because it sounds more as a mn to me.

It's fine for a dog, but I really dislike it for a person.

I adore the name Bruno! I think it is very cute for a little boy, quirky for a teenager, and charming on a man. My only problem with it is that the meaning is somewhat boring...brown.Other than that, its great! Here are some of my favorite combos:Bruno Augustus
Bruno Basajaun (pronounced ba-SAY-jin)
Bruno Caspian
Bruno Flynn
Bruno Lewis
Bruno Tate

Unfortunately, I tend to agree almost exactly with the previous poster. The two images that the name Bruno brings to my mind are a snarling bulldog and a thuggish 20's mobster. Most middle names would be overwhelmed by those images. Does it conjure better images in your mind?

I think of one of those basset hounds with the droopy eyes. It's a very ugly name to me, sorry. I also think of a mobster-type guy, and bruises because of the sound. It's not a bad name, it's just not my taste.
