I love it. Etta James is an amazing woman--I saw her in concert this spring--and if I used the name, I'd use it for her. I think I like it best as a nickname for Coretta (for Coretta Scott King, another woman more than worthy of veneration), but it works beautifully as a full name, too.
Etta James' given name was Jamesetta Hawkins, by the way--and I'd be lying if I said I didn't like Jamesetta, too. :)
