Its a really 'international' name, it works with Everything

I really quite like Augustus, with the nick name Gus. I don't really like August for a boy, but I do like Augusta, or Auguste for a girl.

I adore it. I have liked the nn Gus for awhile but wasn't "in love" with Augustus, Angus, Augustine, etc. Then one day, I realized August was a nice possibility, and I like it as a fn, with or without Gus as a nn. And I love it as a mn as well. Then someone pointed out here on this board that it could honor someone whose birthday is in August--and both of my parents were born in August. :)

I prefer Augustus (It's been on my faves list for a really long time), but August is nice. I probably would use it (whereas I would use Augustus) because of it being a month name, too. It's nice to honor your grandfather, though.
