Shillie
Went to a store today to scan some pictures. The lady at the desk (I'm guessing late teens/early 20's) had a name tag on stating that her name was "Shillie". No idea if this is her full name, or some sort of nn. *shrugs*
So...WDYT? Any guesses out there for a full name to go with this nicknamey name? ^_^

Shillie is really nms. It sounds like someone attempting to pronounce the word 'silly' with a mouthful of food.

Yeah, after I thought about it a while, it did sound to my like some trying to say 'silly' who had a speech impediment of some sort. ^_^
Shirley?
"There is an art to flying, or rather, a knack," said Ford. "The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss."
In some dialects of English the "eh" and "ih" sounds are very close together. That's why some people say "ink pen", because they pronounce pin and pen the same and so need to differentiate the writing instrument from the fastener. So maybe Shillie is a form of Shelley created by someone who comes from one of those dialectical areas.
I can't imagine what it might be short for, sounds to me her parents just liked the sound of it. All I can think of is shilly-shallying or maybe a nice bowl of shili with sheese. lol
