Lorcan.
Please answer as if you lived in Ireland.WDYT of the Irish guys name Lorcan as a first name? It's one of my DH's favorite, and I have been really warming up to it lately.
The mn is likely to be some form of James. I'm not crazy about James itself, so do you have any other ideas? Seamus is unusable for us, but WDYT of:Lorcan Hamish (we pr. it HAY-mish)
Lorcan Tiago
Lorcan JamieThanks.

I really like Lorcan a lot...its really handsome! I like Lorcan Hamish a lot...Lorcan Tiago is cool, but there is something strange about it, as though the combo doesn't really 'fit' (if that makes any sense :p)
I don't like Lorcan Jamie as I don't like Jamie used as a whole name, even if it is the mn.
WDYT of Lorcan Jamison?
I also really like the sound of Lorcan Iago, but then I think of Iago in Othello and it walks right out the door for me!

I think that Lorcan is really rather nice. I've never thought of it before, I'm not even sure if I'd heard of it before reading your post. It's too bad you don't like James, it's such a nice masculine name. And the first form of James that I thought of was Seamus so I'm sorry that's ruled out. From your list I really like Lorcan Hamish, I've never hear it pronounced hay-mish before and I really rather prefer it this way!
The only other combo I can think of would be Lorcan Jacob (James is a form of Jacob). I dislike Tiago and only like Jamie as a nickname for James or Jamison.
