Carine? wdyt
This name has been growing on me as a mn for Isobel (which DH and I both love).
Barring your feelings about Isobel, wdyt of Carine? My favorite combo would have been Isobel Catherine, but SIL already has a Katharine.
Thanks!
Melissa

Reminds me of the verb.
You know, careen? Like, "Watch it! Don't careen around the corner!" That's probably one reason I hate it so much when people misprn *my* name as Carine...*shudders* I much prefer Corrine / Korrine (prn cor-IN) probably b/c that's what I grew up with. And Catherine has 3 syllables and flows better with Isobel. In this case, I'd make the combo Isobella Carine or Isobel Carina to adjust the flow. But that's just me. There's really nothing wrong with the combo Isobel Carine (although tbh, I like the look of Isobel Corine better).

Is Carine pronounced as Kah-REEN? In that case, I think Isobel Carine flows very well. Isobel Corinne would be great too.
"You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."

This is the name of my cousin's wife. I like it but I find a lot of people pronounce it "Karen" instead of "Careen".
I like the flow of Isobel Catherine better than Isobel Carine.
