Lola?
I don't know why but I started liking this name. Is it ok as a full name on its own or should it be a nn?
If it is a nn what would it be short for?

No, it's too cutesy as a full name. Lola can be a nickname for Delores but I think it could work as a nickname for Penelope as well.
I like it, I always have. But you should know that it's the Tagalog word for "grandmother". ;-)

I like this name and I prefer it as a full name.
It's cute. I think it's nice as a full name. :)

This is my mother-in-law's name. I've never known anyone with this name before. I like it. Unusual but something most people would have heard of.
Lola is short for Delores, Lolita or Lourdes. I think Lola is fine as a fn. I don't like Delores too much. I actually think Lolita is really pretty, but then you have the sexual connotation. that may take a few more generation before that rubs off. too bad.
but Lola on its own is a great name. I agree with Helena, it is very glamourous.

I actually really like this name. Lola. It makes me picture a 1920's glamour woman. But it could also work well nowadays. I prefer it as a full name, and not a nickname. That's just unnecessary, I think.
I think it should be a nn I always think of "her name was Lola she wa s a showgirl" thing...maybe as a nn for Lourdes? I really don't know! :(
