Ivy or Holly?
Of Ivy and Holly, which do you prefer? Do you actually like either?
Middle names are either Elizabeth (family name), Danae, or Danielle.
Thanks!·•·Eliza·•·

Ahh, my favourite Christmas Carol . . .:-)I much prefer Ivy, as it has a classic, old-fashioned feel to it. Holly was very popular in the 80s and I grew up knowing about half a dozen girls named Holly, so it seems a little overused to me (although still sweet). But it's perhaps fresh again now.Holly Elizabeth and Ivy Elizabeth are both gorgeous. Danae or Danielle would spoil their earthy, classic feel.

I love both but would choose Ivy. As for a middle name the more centimental ones are the best, so I would have to say Elziabeth:)

I prefer Ivy, but Holly is nice too. It seems slightly dated though. Ivy Danae is a nice combo.

Ivy Elizabeth is classically beautiful. I think Ivy is so cute on a little girl but ages well too.

I like Ivy better, mainly becasue I associate Holly with being more of an old lady name. Ivy always seemed fresher, and I like the sound more, too.Dreams are necessary to life.

I don't really like either because they seem outdated, and I don't think the looks or sounds are pretty. I have some associations with trashiness, too, but that's from people I know who bear the name. If I had to pick one over the other, I'd choose Ivy, though, since it is less populra. Ivy Elizabeth would be nice.

I like them both, but they're not favorites. I prefer Holly. I think Holly Danae is pretty. Then again, so is Ivy Danae.

I prefer Ivy. Holly is nice but seems unfashionable to me because I have known only Hollys who are a bit older than I am - they'd be pushing 50 now. I really like the name Ivy and would probably have used it if my husband hadn't rejected it. Apparently the "poison" connection gives it too much character for many people. Not for me, though.Ivy Danielle seems best. Ivy Danae is nice and striking, if you know how to pronounce Danae. Holly Elizabeth is also beautiful.- mirfak

I prefer Ivy, though I like both to some degree. They aren't favorites, but I think they're pretty. Ivy Danae is lovely, as is Holly Elizabeth.
