Charlotte/Cherie
I've really been liking Charlotte lately. However I really want a name that Cherie could be short for, like Cherice or Cherise. Do you think that Cherie could be a nn for Charlotte? I also like the nn Charlie, wdyt?

I'm a Charlotte, with the nn Charlie, as you can see by my posting name here. So being the obviously bias party here, I'll say that I love it given it's my name. Charlie goes for me since I'm a tomboy type of female.
Cherie I don't care about, due to it sounding too cute in my ears. As for it being a nn for Charlotte, that wouldn't work, since Cherie comes mo close to relate to Charlotte.
However if you need a name that Cherie could be a nn for, then choose the name Cherise / Cherice. It sounds more plausible to me.
{Edit: Spelling.}

Charlotte is GORGEOUS, I simply adore it :)
Cherie could work as a nn, IMO, because there are really no "rules" for nn's. I don't think I like it much, though.
Charlie is cute, but only because I have a great association with a Charlotte nn Charly. I prefer the nn Lottie, though.

Charlotte seems kind of boring to me but it's a good name.
Cherie could very well be a nickname but be ready for more than one pronunciation.
Charlie just seems like a boys name to me. People might always mistake her for a boy.
