Coleman
My Great-Grandfathers middle name was Coleman, one of my brothers middle name is also Coleman, and my oldest brother has a son also with the middle name Coleman. Would it be weird for me to also use the name? I'd like to use it as a tribute to my brother, and I don't particularly like his first name.

Not weird at all - perfect. I wish my middle name connected me to three family members! - chazda

Family NamesHaha, actually my middle name does too. My grandmother is Annie Ruth, my mom is Ruth Ann, my sister is Laurie Ann, and I'm Kerri Ruth.

I agree with everyone else. Coleman seems to be a family name so I see no problem with you using it. Just be aware that people may think your also honoring any or all of the other Colemans in your family. Depending on what you think of them this may or may not be an issue.

It seems like a family name so i would use it, it's not weird at all. I'm not a fan of it though because it is a last name to me, my first bf's name was Micheal Coleman

I don't think that would be weird IMO, as it seems that Coleman is somewhat of a family name for you. So I'd say go for it.
