Amara?
Does this name strike you as too "out there" for real person? Even with such a common name as Tamara being only one letter away? What are your thoughts on this name? And would the combination Amara Cerys be too much? Maybe Amara Sofia instead? Thanks!

I don't think that it's too "out there" at all. Amara is a lovely name. I love one of the meanings ("unfading"), but the other possible meaning ("bitter") isn't so good. I prefer Sofia over Cerys, but I'm not really a fan of combos with double 'a' endings. Since Cerys is nms, I prefer Amara Sofia. How about Amara Sophie? The combo means "unfading wisdom".

Amara is lovely, and I don't think that it is too out there at all. Amara Cerys is nice, but Amara Sofia is beautiful : )

I agree with Julia and Miss Julia Keelan, except for the fact that I prefer Amara Cerys. Also, what about Samara?

I knew someone named Amara! I loved her name... I have it on my list, and I think it's totally usable.I like Amara Sofia better than Amara Cerys, just because of the flow.
