Syd or Ry? (Ryley or Sydney?)
Which do you like better for a girl - Ryley (Ryleigh) or Sydney?I like them both and can't deside. What are good middle names for both?
hopefully my last post of the day...

I don't mind Sydney for a girl, but I have never liked Ryley, Ryleigh, Riley, etc. for a girl. It seems too masculine.

Not big on either, but I prefer Sydney.

Ryley is definitely better. Sydney just seems overdone and the nn Sid, as someone else said, isn't befitting for a girl. Don't know what spelling I prefer, though -- Ryley or Riley -- but definitely not Ryleigh -- that's too much. What about Rylie? Some middle names ...Ryley Calla
Ryley Margaret
Ryley Firenze
Ryley Morgan
Ryley Pia
Ryley Abigail
Ryley Ciara
Ryley Maevenlike any of these?

I have always loved the name Ryley on a girl

I have always had a strong dislike for the name sydney. I know it sounds crazy, but the name Sid reminds me of that evil kid on Toy Story and he freaks me out!
Riley is very very cute.

Riley/Ryley is such a terrible name, the spelling alone gives me the impression of a childish 7 year old. Would you want your 30 old daughter with that name? Sydney is much better. It sounds stronger.

Woohoo! I agree! Go you!
