Re: Nickname for a surname?
I know you're not asking for suggestions beyond the nickname, but I would *really* ditch that first name. Naming him John or Peter or something would be far more typical if his parents were trying to give him a name that would help him 'blend in' in America. Riley doesn't make a bit of sense for either part of his heritage or for the long-common habit of making one's background less conspicuous. If anything its connotation to me is Irish, which wouldn't have done him any favors around the turn of the century (and certainly not before then). It feels way off the mark.

I SHOULD probably change it, but I've been calling him that for years and it's like he won't let me. His middle name is Vincenzo so I suppose I could make it that or Vincent instead. Why is this so hard for me!? xD______________________________"....A simple I love you means more than money...."- Frank Sinatra
