Camille for a boy?
Replies
It was my grandfathers name. It's a great name.
not fond of it for either, but i don't see why not for a boy :)
I have never encountered a male Camille either in person or in media ... except maybe in passing. So honestly, I have a hard time imagining it on a guy, at least one from my part of the world. My image of it on a guy is of a nineteenth century French dandy.
On the other hand, I think if a peer named her son that, I'd quickly learn to see its masculine side, and mostly it'd just seem French to the max. Too French for me to use, definitely. But not unappealing.

Either way you say it (French or English), it sounds very feminine to me.
No
No, I can't see it at all. Maybe three hundred years ago in France, but nowhere else. It's just too solidly feminine to be anything but ridiculous ona boy.
I like it, but it's probably better as a middle name for a boy in North America. Sadly.

If you're pronouncing it the French way, I think people would get used to it. (Even in France though, it's very predominantly female.) I'd advise against it if you're using Americanised "ka-MEEL", which is a firmly-set girls' name in most people's minds.
