I love James as a mn for a girl, but Emma is boring. I love Bella James.~Mom to Marilyn Alisandra (May 15th, 2005)~

Emma is a nice name but rather popular where I live, James is a boy only name in my opinion.
The combo has far too many M's

Post under ONE name ONLY please, Lea N. / Helen / wdyto / all the names I warned you about last timeYou have been warned repeatedly that it is unacceptable to post under more than one name. You appear to have chosen Helen now, so please stick to it and DO NOT EVER use another username again.

NO!! James is strictly a boys name. now Jamison might be alright, but otherwise...
And Emma is WAY too over used!

AhJamison is more masculine than James to me. While I agree that James is strictly a boy's name, the use of Jamie as a girl's name or boy's name/NN makes it somehow more logical to me. Jamison has SON in it; do I need to elaborate?

I like Emma. It's a very cute name imo, despite being very popular right now. James is all boy imo.

James for a girl's middle name? I guess sometimes people do that (a name from the other gender as mn), but I can't say I'm used to it or like it. Emma sounds rather trendy, but it's better than Emily.

mpdhttp://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=582747&board=baby1. If you're going to repeat a question, please at least change the format or something. You already got an answer to this question.2. You're only allowed one posting name (as per Rule #2), and if you are going to change it, you need to announce it so the board knows.

*yawn*I should probably think James is edgy as a female name but I don't. To me they're just two names I've heard a million times before.

Emma, yes. James, big no, no. James is all masculine to me and I mean it's a classic too. Let's leave the classic masculine names for the males please!

Is James a family name or something? If not, it's a little ridiculous.-- Sarah

Sorry, I have NEVER liked the name Emma, ever. It just seems very stuffy and old-fashioned while at the same time being way too poular. Also, I think it sounds mumbly, not having a nice flow to it.
I love James, but ONLY for a boy!
