Sadly I agree with sould. I immediately think of a computer geek (of course the wonderful and amazing Bill Gates). Not the most feminine image! Then there is garden gates...not good! But I do agree with you. I kinda like it. It's certainly very cool actress-y!Loving wife to Jack

Sounds more like aMicrosoft homage than a name to me. I wouldn't use it. I don't find it to be particularly aesthetically flattering, either.

I guess that it's Gates McFadden (Dr: Crusher on Star Trek: TNG) you think about. Gates would be her mn, since her fn is really Cheryl.Gates is okay in my opinion.

You are welcome.I think her stage name have been Gates McFadden, since she moved into acting I think.She was a muppeteer and movement coordinator, for Jim Henson, before moving really into acting.
