Definately Carmen, it's one of my favorite names. I don't think Carmen needs a nn at all, it's so gorgeous and alluring on it's own.

I like Cameron on a boy, and I actually do like the meaning, but not on a girl. It's handsome, for a boy. But on a girl, it's just ugh.

On the other hand, I absolutely love Carmen. It sounds cool, exoticish, and beautiful - lovely name. So that would be my pick, hands down. And no nicknames, they'd just ruin it.

I prefer to spell it Kameryn though while on a girl and Cameron on a boy.

I don't care for Cameron for a girl at all, so I prefer Carmen, but it's not a huge favorite either. I prefer Carmela or Camille. :b

I don't like Cameron at all. It's just very boring and blah. I prefer Cameron for a boy anyway. Carmen, on the other hand, is lovely! It makes me think of the opera. No nns, just Carmen. It's great!

Carmina is my favourite of the Carm- names, really. Cameron, I like best for a boy with the nn Cammie; on a girl, it still feels contrived to me.

But Carmen--oh, that's a heavenly name. No nickname. It's short and doesn't need one, and Cam-Cammie-Carma all take away from the coolness of the name for me.
