Thank you! The accent does serve a purpose. It's there for stress, so the A is pronounced longer. And Mariana is a good name on its own. I would definitely use a nickname more often than the full name. The name means: Land of the dead. It's for my books. But I also would love to use it for when I have children. The meaning is a bit morbid, but the name itself, I think, is beautiful.

I'd likely classify this number under a 'guilty pleasure' or a name that I likely but wouldn't call my children one day.

For myself, I prefer just plain Mariana. I think it's gorgeous and elegant on its own. What is the purpose of the accent in this name? Does it change the sound of that A (and if so, how should it sound?), or is it meant to make sure we stress that syllable? Or is it there for the hell of it?Array

"Yes," said Laura.A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

The name has a nice flow to it, also Ari or Ana are good NN's. You might want to refer to the nickname more often since the name is a little long.
