Gimme, gimme... nice Swedish names!
Hi folks!I was just thinking about Swedish names because of the Sunniva-topic and I thought it would be kind of a new thing to this message board, so:which Swedish names (for boys AND girls) do you like and perhaps also why? List the ones you find worth mentioning! I need some new ideas! :-)I'll post mine later under this topic.

I'm not an expert, and some of these might be Norwegian / Danish or other Scandinavian names. But here are some of my favorites:Ingrid / Ingela, Ilsa / Ilse, Elsa, Astrid, Britt, Linnea, Lena, Liv, Dagmar, Svea (SVAY-a), Freja, Fredrika / Frieda, Thora, Kirsten, Margreta, Viveka, Antonetta, Lotta, Klara;Per, Max, Edvard, Frederik, Gustaf / Gustav, Jonas, Stefan, Niklas, Mathias, Kornelis, Kristoffer, Roald, Erik, Bjorn, Erland, Otto.

Britt - is so much better that Brittany
Britta - cute!
Charlotta - is nice! I like Charlotte better though.
Greger - nice! I also like it as a nn for Gregory
Kerstin - There was a girl who came to my highschool to talk to us about art (or somethng like that) named this, she was from somewhere like Sweden.
Marit - ok
Niklas - my all time fav form of Nicholas.
Alexandra - I prefer Alessandra.
Axel - just because I like Guns -n- Roses
Birger - I think its cute. (also like the name Bridger)
Cai - but only on a girl
Cathrine - alot better than the K
Finn - I would love to use this a nn (but for what I dont know)
Gunnar - I love it even with the Gun- at the begining I think it is no "worse" than Hunter
Jakob - cute!
Kasper - cute on a girl only (or as a nn for a girl)
Linn - cute as a middle name
Liv - I think it is worth mentioning
Lucia - cute!
Magda - LOVE THIS NAME.
Mathias - very nice as a mn.
Mia - cute only as a middle name or nickname.
