Sailor & Scout are not acceptable to me.

I'm a child of the 90s, and as children of the 90s (ought to) know, the hugely popular anime Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon starred a group of magical girls called Sailor Senshi. And "senshi," which translates about to "soldier," was changed in the dub to "scout." So Sailor + Scout = not a good sibset, IMO. YMMV, of course.
I like Scout as a nickname for either sex, but it's a bit weak as a full name. I mean, even Miss Finch had Jean Louise to fall back on--surely your Scout could have a full name, too. ;) Sailor just doesn't sound pretty to me at all--it's like Taylor redux, and I'd die a happy woman if I never met another one of those. I have a certain weakness for Sayley, thanks to the book More Minds, but that's the closest I get.
As for your others, the only ones I have particularly strong feelings about are Emerson and Campbell. I can't stand them on girls and find them utterly twee and dateable. Emmy, I do like as a nickname, though my preferred Em- name is Emmylou. Bella is the sound a bullfrog makes when it croaks, so no thank you to that.
The others are...well, rather popular, but not bad names. Respectable enough, but nothing I'd ever choose--one long yawn. I'm getting sick of seeing Isla on these boards--my love for the name was effectively killed approximately a year ago, ha. And Annabel is one that makes me spit fire--I just can't stand it--but I don't object to other people's using it. ;)

...And then he said, "You're independent, aren't you?"
"Yes," said Laura.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.
