Hey there! Desmond is one of the few names that I loved when I was ten and still love. I think it hits the perfect aim of being unusual but not weird, and easy to pronounce. I probably won't use it, not because there's anything wrong with it (I think it's great and Des is the coolest nickname ever), just because all of my favorite boys names are family names. Too bad my dad isn't Desmond! Anyway, I think you've gotten some great suggestions and my feeble brain is too tired to think of any more right now. I'll try tomorrow, though! How about Desmond Elijah (there, there's one!)? Also, thanks for suggesting Alexandrine as an alternative to Alexandra as a mn for Selah... I really, really like it and think Selah Alexandrine sounds better than Selah Alexandra. Hope you don't mind if I "adopt" it? :o)
