Summer, Kitten and Micah
are the names of the daughters of a woman I met tonight. Yes, her birth certificate says Kitten. The lady said she wanted to name her daughter Baby (to honor a late aunt whose nn that was, IIRC), but her family wouldn't have it. So she used the nn of her late grandmother (Kitten) instead. Micah was supposed to be a boy, and they just kept the name they'd already chosen for him.
I quite like Summer and Kitten. But you know how I am!

Summer is okay, Kitten is pushing it (they could have named her Katherine and nn her Kitty or Kitten), I like Micah but with it spelled Mikka.
I once knew an elderly lady who's nickname was Kit as a child she had been called Kitten, we all thought her real name was Katherine but it turned out the name on her birth certificate was Harriet, she had got her nickname because her Father always called her his Kitten and the name stuck
As a nickname Kitten is fine but not as a full name, Kit is okay and she can always use that when she is Older if the sex Kitten jokes get on her nerves
Summer isnt my style but its okay
Micah I prefer for a boy but I have seen Mica on a girl

Summer is tolerable
Kitten is way too babyish imo. Though Kitten is slightly better than Baby, she can always call herself Kitty. And I prefer Micah for a boy; for every girl with this name, the name is considered less masculine by parents to be.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."

I agree.
I don't like Kitten and I don't like Micah on a girl. Summer is fine. I prefer Kitty to Kitten. I called my ex-boyfriend Kitty (I don't really know why). At first he didn't like it, but after a while he didn't mind, haha. If I ever name a daughter Catherine or Katherine, she'll definitely get the Kitty nn. =)
I love the *idea* of Kitten and Baby. :o) And I even like Kitten on someone else. It's cute, it's sweet, and she can always go by Kit or Kat if she wants & no one will be the wiser. It's been my experience, though, that people with unusual names tend to love them! Summer is just nms, but I can't begrudge her the name. It brings to mind wonderful images of warm days and sun-dappled yard ornamented with rainbows from the sprinkler. :o) I knew a girl named Micah in high school, and I thought it was cool. Weird, but cool. :o)
I like Summer. I think Kitten would make a cute NN, I love Micah.
