I think you are misinterpreting the use of "Native American". No one is saying that Greenland is politically part of Canada or the USA. But it certainly is generally considered part of the North American continental area, just like Ireland and Great Britain are considered part of Europe. So I think it is accurate to say that Greenlandic names are "Native American" just as it would be accurate to include English or Irish names in a list of "European" language names.

Oh well...
I guess you have a better insight in this matter, than I'll ever have, given your indept study in all of this. Resulting in that book of yours. But still I couldn't help reacting, since no matter what, Greenland and Denmark will always somewhat be "one" in my mind. No matter the geographical standards and all that. This feeling is ingrained in about every Dane, even if they are for the most part independent on Greenland. With their own government, but still they have close contact with the Danish government.
I don't know how to explain it, I'm always lousy when it comes to that, since it's just the way it is with my feelings about it. As well as nearly every other Dane I meet. Or it could be my famous way of sometimes misinterp stuff, in such way I over-react and doesn't think clearly.
I apologize if that have happened in this case.
