For me, this is not an Anne name

because I'm a bit more of a purist, or even a prude you might say, about its pronunciation. I say it shyENN, just like it looks (yes, even despite my Texas twang - I can turn that on and off at will, y'know). Spelling it Cheyanne corrects the pronunciation problem, but ruins the name. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water - I would never go for any spelling other than Cheyenne. So for me it wouldn't work.Having said that, I absolutely see where you're coming from, and I give you full marks for imagination, and I do in fact think it works nicely in your family. So go for it!As for other names, you might look here.http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=*anne&name=yes&meaning=yes&description=yes&gender=both&usage=&operator=orOr here.http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=*ann*&name=yes&meaning=yes&description=yes&gender=both&usage=&operator=orOr here.http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=ann*&name=yes&meaning=yes&description=yes&gender=both&usage=&operator=orI admit these three searches will largely yield the same names, but a few will vary; perhaps enough to spark your interest or imagination.:)
