Oh, I love this same, despite the terrible Biblical connotation. (In case you don't know Sapphira and her husband Ananias were struck dead by God for lying). It was on my short list, but I've since shortened my short list & Sapphira had to go. I really don't see it being mis-pronounced, but then again, I didn't expect Noah to get mispronounced, either (he gets called Noel a lot). Some nns I like are Sara, Sira, Sari, Fire (or Firenza as it would certainly evolve in my family, lol), and Apphia (another Biblical name). Of these, Sara is my favorite, even though I dislike Sara as a full name.
