Gosh, I want to like this one.

I love the sound of it. I love the look of it. I love sapphires the stone (my birthstone too). Honestly, I'd have it short listed myself except...
Somehow Sapphira comes across as cheap and hokey. It sounds like a stage name for a stripper or showgirl. It sounds like a name with too much ambition (like Diamond, Crystal, Princess, Yurhighness...) I don't know why Ruby, Pearl, and Opal can pull it off, but Sapphire and Diamond just sound tacky. :-/
I can't imagine not knowing how to pronounce Sapphira, but people will be prone to misprounce *anything* and as this one is unusual, it probably would receive a lot of blank looks and oral stumbles.

I have to agree as well
Sapphires are beautiful, and the name Sapphira does sound and look pretty. Still, I just can't take it seriously because it's one of those faux-fancy, faux-unique names I coul only imagine on a stripper or on a spoilt child. There's just something utterly prentious about it.
