Yalexi Marisol

was the baby I delivered last night. The parents were non-English- speakers and pronounced the Y more like a J. Dad (who was only 18) claimed Yalexi is a Mexican name that means "beloved." I had never heard of it.
By coincidence I also work with a nurse named Marisol. She's just a couple of years younger than me (meaning she's mid-30s), very pretty and vivacious. She's the only Marisol I have known personally, so of course she colors my perception of the name.

Proud wife of David
