Ambrosia
What do you tihnk of this? I had a very Ambrosia filled day... A lady at the nail salon was tlaking about her daughter Ambrosia, and I drove by an "Ambrosia Way" on my way to work, a street I'd never noticed. So, I started thinking about it and I love it!
What about you guys? What to you think? Is it usable? Possible nicknames? Thanks :-)

I've gone off the name now; it's too "out there" for me.

It has the potential to grow on me... but I doubt it will. Amby and Rosie seem like the most obvious nicknames, but there are probably a heap more. It is usable but I don't think I'll use it. :D

Yuck, I hate Amber. But I really love the ending of Ambrosia, the os ans the ia. So it's different to me. :-)

Umm....I don't particularly like it for a person's name. It makes me think of the salad and the band!!
Too sugary.
I knew a woman named this, she was nice.

I like it. It's not my first choice, but it's pretty and definitely refreshing: not modern, but not one of the revival names that is catching on. Established and recognizable, yet uncommon enough to make an impression.
Possible NN:
Ami
Rosa
Rosi
Ambra
Sia (prn See-uh probably, not Shuh) :)
What are the convulsions of a city in comparison with the insurrections of the soul?
Man is a depth still greater than the people.

Hmmm, what about Brosia? I have a frind called Amelia who I call Melia... For some reason I drop the first syllable instead of the ending alot of times. If I ever used it she probably wouldn't have an "official" nickname, just whatever we called her.
