Uncommon O names (girl)
Really been loving less common O girl names lately. With Olivia being so popular, do you think O names will continue to increase in popularity? I know Ophelia, Opal, Olive, and Oakley are pretty popular but I’d love to see other O names being used. Here are some of my favorites, do you see any becoming popular in the next few years?Olina
Ottilia
Opaline
Olana
Ottilie
Odilia
Ottoline

I like all of the uncommon names you listed, but I doubt any of those will become popular in the US soon. I have a feeling that Opaline will start rising, and Ottilie is already boosting in popularity in the UK.Octavie
October
Odarka
Odessa
Olinda
Oline
Olivie
Olwen
Ophélie
Ophira
Orianne
Orinthia
Ornella

Oxana
I like Olympia, Olwen, Oona, Odette, and Opaline. Based on the top 1000, only Olivia is really popular, but Ophelia, Olive, Oakley/Oaklee/Oakleigh (several spellings), Oaklyn, and Opal are all top 500 and rising.
Ocean is also charting for girls.
I think Odette will become popular after the other ones.
Here are some I like, that are maybe a the more original side:Océane / Océanne (was very popular in Québec in the 2000s. It's not pronounced like the word Ocean, more like Oh-SAY-ANNE. Rhymes with Anne.)
Odile
Olivine (like the gemstone, but was also used as a diminutive for Olive)
Olympe
Oksana (though not in my culture, I think it sounds so beautiful)
Oriana
Oriane
OrlaIf you want really original there are these choices:
Ondine (from the Latin for ''wave'')
Orchidée (I've seen it online but not in real life. It's French for ''orchid'')
There is a corner of my heart that, for some reason, loves Opaline so much. But I don't see it getting too popular. It's a bit... wordy for a name. Though I guess that's just my personal preference, and there are plenty of word names out there.
I also like Odilia and Ottilia! Ottilia could have a chance.
This is the first time I've heard Opal called popular. It is even near the top 100!I like Ottilie, but I can't see it becoming super popular.Odette is more likely to take off than Odilia.
You're right, Opal isn't at the top of the charts. It has risen 357 spots in 6 years so you could say it's rising. Opal has been mentioned in 162 posts in the past 12 months, that's 3 times a week. Perhaps Olivbliv was looking for names that are not so familiar to this board.
My favorite is Oona!
I think Olana and Odilia are the most probable of your favorites to become more popular.Olena
OdetteOlivine (Ah la veen, a gem stone)

Olena is extremely common name where I live. Mostly for adults, it is not so much used for kids now. I support bringing back name here for younger generations.
It also is wife of my country president name. I checked data:
Olena was in top 5 baby name for girl from 1960-1995.
In 2013 there was 1058576 women called Olena who live in my country.
It's a beautiful name! Perhaps it will become popular in the United States for those who enjoy Olivia but want a more unique name. My aunt, born in 1927, was named Olena Grace LaMar.
Where do your aunt come from? When I was younger I had friend named Yelena. It is Russian version of Olena, because I lived in Russian speaking city. She would be Olena if she ever speaked in Ukrainian ^-^
There also is girl named Olena in one of my class. I feel like here Alyona is more popular for younger generation.

Ophelia is one of my favorites! Olive is another nice pick.I'm very sorry, but I personally don't enjoy any of the options below. My childhood best friend was named Ona though!
