I prefer Fay; the -e in Faye seems unnecessary. But I only 'like' Fay as a mn, where it's out of sight.
Flora is margarine where I live. That doesn't bother me, but I do prefer Florence (family name) and Laura.
Sylvie is a nickname for people named Sylvia. I quite like Sylvia.
