Journey
What are your thoughts on Journey as a name for a girl?
Alittle explanation as to why...My husband and I both have the word "journey" as a tattoo to commemorate a year long trip we took through the US and Europe before we were married. And looking at the tattoo today I just thought that it would be a cool name with a very sentimental meaning to us both.

My brother thought of the band first too...
He actually started singing a Journey song when I mentioned it to him, but he named his daughter Spencer so he can't argue with me! haha...
But I figure that band is like 20 or 30 years old now (older than me!) and by the time my child actually becomes aware of her own name it will be a distant memory for our generation, but not her's.

I like Journey very much. It has a very nice meaning, not only could it be interpreted into many different ways, but it isn't too frilly and girly nor to masculine, if you like it for a girl.
I also think that the pros of using it go way up if you and your husband have a personal connection to the name! That's always great!
PS: I love virtue names as mns for girls :)

I like it, but...
my first assumption would *always* be that the girl was named for the band. I know a Journey and this is the case with her.

I like it. I have used it on a character before. I don't think I would use it as a fn for a real child though...as a mn it is fine.

My niece has a friend who is 21 named Journey. She is a beautiful young woman and her name fits her well. I say go for it.
It's ok. Kind of cheesey. Makes me think of the band Journey.
I like it:)
I think Journey is a cute for a girl. I don't really get why she'd be teased? But yeah, I like it. Personally, I wouldn't use it, but it wouldn't bother me to see it on someone else's daughter.

I don't see how she'd be teased either
