Names too similar for a combo.

I prefer Mirel over Marla

It sounds nice, but I dislike both names.

I like the name Marla pretty well, but pairing it with May/Mae gives it an unfortunate country-bumpkin flavor.

It's very retro country, which is fun.

I don't like the matching initials. And Marla seems shallow and synthetic; Marlene, pronounced with three syllables, is preferable but not if followed by May. Which is all right, but just not following another M name.

I like May, not so keen on Marla
