if you had to change your name...
...to an Arabic name, what would you go with and why? I would go with Samira - I love that it means "companion in evening talk".

If I were to choose any Arabic name, I'd probably go with Nora, but if I were to choose one that didn't also have another (more common in my area) origin, probably Zahra. Approachable enough, and it rhymes with my name so I'd probably respond to it easily ;)
I really like the name Zahra.
Sanaa - I just think it's beautiful
I think I would go with Nasim. It has a very pleasant sound and I like names relating to nature as well.
I would probably go with Malik; it's such a handsome name, and I feel its popular for a reason.
Tasnim is the 1st thing I think of.
It starts with T and is 2 syllables like my NN. I think it sounds pleasant, it's easy for people to say in English, and I like water related meanings.Nima, Walida, Maryam, Zaitun, Dunya would work also.

Zaitun is very underrated. I love it.
Amani, I think. My top 3 choices for myself are Amani, Inaya, and Yara. I like so many Arabic names, though. Many of them have such beautiful meanings!
Amani is so nice.
Khadijah. It’s a beautiful name.
I already have one (well, four), so I wouldn't have to haha. I can't really imagine being called anything else, and quite a few have been used for cousins too, but I have always liked Sahar and Noor.
Zayn is sleek. I like that it can also work in English.
Interesting question. I rather like Layla.
Jamillah. It's cute to me :)
Years ago, I almost converted (or reverted, as they say) to Islam, so I have actually thought about this!I was never able to really find a satisfying answer. First of all, it's not really required to pick a new name upon conversion, but I just liked to think about it because it was fun.I always wanted to find a name that meant "lightning" or "Storm" because the first time I read the Qur'an was during an absolutely insane lightning storm - just constant lighting with no thunder or rain, it was eerie and thrilling. But I wasn't able to find a name that had that meaning that pleased me. Nur means light, but it's so short, I found it underwhelming. Then I thought about finding a name that was "similar to" my current name - that is common among reverts, sort of finding the Arabic version of your name or something with the same initial sound. Khalila might have worked, and probably would have been my pick if I had kept going. I also liked that it meant "friend", which is sweet. If I had just picked an Arabic name I liked, I thought Lujayn was adorable, and had a fun meaning. Also Fidha (or Fidda), which has the same meaning of "silver".
Senna - I think it's gorgeous and wonderful in lots of languages
That is a hard question for me. I would most likely go with Malik.
I think I'd go with Farida, for the overall meaning. But I also like Arwa.
I like Hala, Nadira and Zahira. Hala and Nadira probably, because they sound familiar to Nadia and Hala as short for Halina.
If I had to choose something closer (well, not by origin but just from looks) to my name it would be Inaya.
Hala has favourite meaning. I love moon and halo looks beautiful.
Maybe Hanif—it’s so soft.
My name would be Isra or Falesteen in another universe (Falesteen is my nickname bc my name is Israelle)
Fun!!!
I love Amna or Isra but I'd choose Ferial (Faryal)✨
Means "beautiful neck" from Persian فر (far) meaning "brilliance, splendour" and یال (yāl) meaning "neck".

I would choose Lina. I was called Lina when I was little and mun still calls me that sometimes.
Tough choice. In reality I'd probably go with Noor, because it coincides with a Dutch name, I kinda like it and I like the meaning.Aïcha would be tempting because I love the song Leila is very pretty too. I'd go with this spelling only if I had to name myself. The -ei- makes it feel slightly Dutch and I like the pronunciation better this way (LIE, rather LAY).Soraya is what I'd probably choose for a child, because it's so pretty! It just wouldn't feel like a name that could ever be mine.Fun fact, my SiL renamed herself after converting and chose Anisa. This is now a mn for one of my girls :)
I'd probably choose Fadila.
Amira. I think it’s beautiful and it has the same meaning as my name now.
Na'ima or AnisaKhalila is very close to my name though
If it has to be Arabic usage: Amal
If it just has to be from Arabic name: Amela It means "hope, aspiration". I need hope in my life.
