Years ago I thought Anne Isadora was a lovely combo, but it didn't get a very good reaction when I made a poll about it. Well I still think it's nice!

I might pair Anne with something gutsy, heavy, dark, or over the top. Something to give it a bit of oomph.

Interesting, isn't it? That single syllable is so dominant! Anne Louise is beautiful; Anne Eloise, not so much. An unstressed first syllable seems to be the way to go:
