Baby Vera
I just met a baby Vera. Sister was Jack (I suspect that's a nickname) and I don't remember of the little boy.
I like it.
I like it.

I like Vera.
I think Vera and Jack kind of match, but kind of don't.
They are both vintage names, but Jack sounds like smack and has a hard edge which makes Vera veer into severe.
I like Vera with more of a glamorous Old Hollywood vibe.
Maybe
Vera & Spencer
Vera & Clark
Vera & Grant
Vera & James
Vera & Laurence
Vera & Edward
Vera & Gregory
Vera & Henry
Just some thoughts!

Too severa.
It's lovely! One of my coworkers back in 2017 named her daughter Vera Millie (Vera pronounced as Vera Wang pronounces it, not "VEE-ra"; Millie after her husband's grandma).
Not a fan. It's somewhat common here, but it's also an old Swedish name and the name of my grandmother's sister. Nothing I'd use.
Holy cow - Vera is back. It's charting in the 200s.
I think Vera is a beautiful name. Jack however, makes me feel sick on a girl. Poor child.
I like Vera. Jack as a nickname for a girl is awful.
It's ok
I like it, I've only heard it used in the Pink Floyd song.

I like Vera with a short e, but not so much with an eeuh sound.
Ooh, I don't like it because of a personal association. It wasn't a bad association by any means, it was just the name of a slightly kooky great aunt who wore a wig that was always askew and layered on the bright red lipstick and blue eyeshadow. She was a sweet person, but I can't hear the name without having that image. Maybe if I knew a different Vera, that would change.
I like Aunt Vera's style.
lol
She was a good person. She had brain surgery in the 1950's, and she was never quite right, after that. She lived well into her 80's, though, and died during the pandemic (of cancer, not Covid).

Probably.
It gives me film noir vibes, like Maureen. Red lipstick, dark brown hair, smoldering eyes.
