In the past I strongly disliked it because of being too holy name for my taste, then because it was popular, basic + old lady vibe.
Now I like it and variants of Maria, also I'm not meeting anymore many women named "Maria/Marie/Mary" in real life, so not a big fan but I like it.
I think it's very flexible when pairing with middle names and last names - you sort of can't get it wrong because of its presence in many cultures - it's safe and nice option.
