I love it, I've got positive associations with people/animals named Ivy, and I would use it IRL. I find it very cute and endearing. Poison ivy isn't really a thing here, and common ivy is a perfectly pleasant and unthreatening plant, about which the most accusatory thing you could say is that it maybe makes overgrown old buildings look a bit creepier.
