Victor or Vincent?
Which one do you like better? Victor or Vincent?

Replies

I'm picking Vincent because of Van Gogh but it's close.
Victor, because I have liked Victors better than Vincents so far. But they are both nice names.
I like both (like a few people already said). I think they're both very useable and wearable names.
I prefer Vincent a tiny bit. Victor seems a little bit more... dark. Vincent seems brighter and livelier. I also associate it with Vincent van Gogh and Vincent Price which are pretty cool associations to have (with the caveat that I don't know the ins and outs of their lives and any dark skeletons that might be lurking in their respective closets, outside of that they seem like cool associations).
I like them both but I'm definitely more partial to Victor. It has a sort of Gothic but sweet energy that I Vibe with.
Vincent, by a nose. I would have named my son either, if it had been my only choice. But I would have gone with Vincent nn Vin.
Victor is attractive, brighter, and seems more like a man than a boy right now.
Vincent seems more likely to be a boy, and it has a more cunning, but still heroic, vibe.
I had seriously considered both names, but I did not have a boy.
Vincent is softer, so I like it a little better, but they're both nice.
Victor, but just barely.
I like both, but prefer Victor
Vincent for me. I love Van Gogh and the nn Vinny. Plus it’s not too over done.
Victor sounds like a nerd to me but I do love the meaning and Vic could be a cool nn I guess.
Victor hands down, Vincent is fine but feels kind of old mannish to me.
It's a really tough choice because I love both equally. I would have to pick Victor, though, since I've loved that one a lot longer than Vincent. So, Victor.

I like them both but I'd choose Vincent. Vince is a nice friendly nn. Victor has a little bit of a sinister sound to it, and so does the nn Vic. (Vinnie, on the other hand, sounds like a mobster.)
I like both, but lean towards Victor.
Victor is a family name, so I think it would just shade Vincent and, indeed, Vernon, which I also quite like.
I also like Vernon. Was my grandfather's name.
I love Vincent. Victor is okay.
