What you could do is give your character the name you've chosen, but have her go by something like Priya or Kala so your readers aren't put off by the spelling/pronunciation. I'd also recommend looking at names with meanings related to tiger, feline, queen, or cat- I found a handful with the advanced search here on BtN. Here are some of my favorites.
