Interesting! Seems to contain aspects of Clarissa and Bertha, or perhaps Clarissa said with a lisp. I wouldn't use it or expect to see it used.

Ah, thank you! Checked the Popularity stats here, and Aretha only appears to be used in the USA. Not surprising that I didn't think of it. Although I have heard some Aretha Franklin songs, and she seems to be pretty much the source.

I find the spelling weird and very dated. I prefer Claritta.
