Some interesting names from a beauty pageant in a 1959 teen magazine. Even though this was a pretty small list of girls, maybe 50, it was interesting how many similar names & different spellings there were.

I like Gay, but I'm aware it might not be the best for a child nowadays.

Interesting. I don't really like many of them. Would there have been pageants in which all or most participants were people of colour, back then? Not a compulsory requirement, but perhaps by mutual consent?
