I think it’s a classic name and I understand why a lot of people choose to use it. It flows well with a lot of other names and a lot of people may also use it to honour an older relative. Without trawling my family tree I can think of around 30 women called Elizabeth between the two sides of my family. I also have one Lizzie and one Frances Elizabeth in my family tree.
