Claudia, Olivia, Vanessa.
I'm aware that names don't make the person and that the person makes the name so this is purely subjective and based on personal experience/impression. What kind of person do you think of for each name (personality & looks)? I'm writing a fictional story and I'm making a list of names, thank you in advance!

Claudia would have long, curly hair - honey blond or black. Perfectly clear skin. She would be cool and detached.Olivia is basic. It's my least favourite of the names. Generic girl next door.Vanessa would be vampish and attractive, with long black hair. A femme fatale. Dramatic and seductive. There would be something purple about her. Opulent and luxurious. I really like Vanessa, actually, even though it's not my usual style.
Claudia has shoulder-length, light-blonde curly hair, blue eyes, and freckles across her nose. She loves to dance and has spends her free time painting. Claudia's personality is rather extroverted, witty, and playful. Olivia is a brunette, with mid-back-length, straight hair. She sports a golden tan, and is an all-star athlete who plays volleyball, tennis, basketball, and lacrosse. Olivia is a rather popular girl, and she only listens to Taylor Swift.Vanessa has waist-length, ginger, wavy hair with hazel eyes and pale skin. She's rather shy, and can always be seen with a notebook (either drawing, or writing stories). Vanessa has a soft-spot for animals, and she has an obsession with camping.
Vanessa is a sexy daring kind of person.
Olivia could be anyone, the name is so popular.
Claudia also has a sexy appeal.
Claudia: Gothic and romantic, definitely influenced by Interview with the Vampire. This could fit a variety of characters but they'd all need to have a strong personality and a flair for the dramatic, and intricate costumes. I think Claudia needs a setting that would let her shine-- I wouldn't use the name Claudia in a modern setting unless there's a legitimate reason for her to wear fancy Victorian clothing and talk like a Bronte character. Chaotic neutral to neutral good. She's very into herself but not in a villain way, more of an eccentric character who will eventually get involved on the 'good side' of the plot but only on her terms and she's not going to stick with a main party for very long if there is one. Olivia: More of an average person. Could have almost any personality, but I think it would work for someone meant to be very relatable, like one of those typical self-insert "girl next door" type characters. Not anybody super important, and someone with a more subtle personality. In a historical or fantasy setting I'm picturing a 'regular townie' character who is either a side character or someone who takes on the relatable everyman perspective in the plot. If it's a modern setting she'd be similar, just a normal kind of person, pretty nice, not too popular or important, one of those characters who is attractive but the narrative insists they're average, meant for readers to relate to and react similarly to, etc. Neutral good to lawful good. Because she's one of those characters you're meant to relate to, she'll be average in many ways but also have some aspirational qualities, so for example if she's in high school she will have a small friend group, not popular or unpopular, and mostly try to keep to herself and her people, but if she sees someone being bullied she would step in because she's supposed to be a bit of an 'aspirational good guy' (so she keeps to herself, but so much that it leads to bad decisions). Vanessa: This one feels like it needs a more modern setting to me.

Claudia is OK but not wonderful. I prefer it to Claudine and Julia.
Olivia is still very pleasant and attractive, in spite of its popularity surge. A distant relative of mine was named Olivia but she insisted on being called Olive. I far prefer Olivia.
Vanessa is very beautiful, low-key but memorable. I've known three Vanessa people, two had dark hair and blue eyes and were very good company; the other had brown eyes and hair and was quite nice but not very interesting.
I used to not like Claudia, but now it seems vintage in a frilly and warm way without being too girly.
I love Olivia. Its lively and pretty.
I'm tired of hearing Vanessa. It feels like a default name.
May I ask what country you live in? I never hear Vanessa anymore. I'm for the US and I've only met one. I'm also Gen Z so that could be the reason why, I've always read that the name is dated to the 80s/90s alongside names like Ashley, Tiffany, Stephanie, and Amanda.
I'm also gen-z, and at least for me growing up...the name Vanessa was everywhere! I do really enjoy the name, however. Yes, I'm in the USA, lol.

Interesting.. I guess it could be based solely on the demographics of the area we grew up in? I went to school with a lot of Emily's lol.

The United States. It may not be as common in real life as it was, but it was on TV a lot. I watched TV all the time as a kid, so I picked up on names that came up often. Thats why even though Bob is not anywhere near as common anymore, I still see it as a "default" name. Numerous Bobs on TV, normally older men. The Vanessa's were always young.

I see. I consume a lot of pop culture too but I honestly never hear it. I mostly think of Vanessa Hudgens. Definitely hear Olivia in pop culture a lot though especially lately. Olivia Rodrigo, Olivia Hussey, Olivia Benson, Olivia Pope, Olivia Wilde, Olivia Newton-John..
I love Claudia’s steely, antique elegance. Olivia has been diluted by overuse, and Vanessa has never appealed to me.
Claudia: I like the name, it's grown-up and kind of timeless, but there's a coldness or aloofness about it. Claudia might be a good friend, but she'd always be a bit distant.
Olivia" I have come to really dislike this name. I picture a whiny little girl with straggly long hair and a runny nose and usually dressed inappropriately for the weather and/or the setting.Vanessa: I like this one best. I picture someone glamorous and a bit flashy, but big-hearted and full of fun.
