Personal least favorite names
Zmyaj (I think it’s supposed to be pronounced like Semaj but at this point I have given up.)
Aleighah
Kayla (sorry…)
Kwinten
Yunique (Just, Dont…)
Qaeda (I found this in a yearbook)
Wyllyam
Jyler
Alexx (What’s with the double x?)
Naveah (I don’t know if the parents were trying to be creative or if this is just a misspelling.)
Nevaeh
Abcde
Newcastle (City names as names are cool, but this one just doesn’t work.)
Zailani (The letter Z isn’t in the Hawaiian alphabet. If you’re trying to make an artificial Hawaiian name, at least know something about the language first.)
Prestyn
Abigial
simran
Aleighah

I think Newcastle and Abcde would be interesting names to have and that Nevaeh is pretty.
Qaeda does seem unfortunate considering Al-Qaeda.
I would agree Kayla is boring.
I'm apathetic about the weird spellings, although I do feel the double/triple X trend seems vapid.
As other people have said, Zailani just isn't Hawaiian (oh well). Lani endings show up in other languages.

Zailani makes me think of Jailani, which is Indonesian. I've also heard vaguely similar African American names. It sounds pretty, but it doesn't strike me as trying to be Hawaiian.
As others have said, Kayla will soon be an ubiquitous mom name, but it isn't as bad as the others.
Newcastle is better than Oldcastle.

A friend of mine had a co-worker several years ago who named her kids "Myson" and "Mydaughter"...
Zailani is a new guilty pleasure for me.
Kayla is ok.
I like Zailani. I wouldn’t assume it was trying to be Hawaiian.

One of these is not like the others (Kayla)... it's innocuous, but rather dated at this point. It screams Millennial and will become a "Mom name" soon.
I also still can't believe Abcde is real. It started out as an urban legend, like Oranjello & Lemonjello or Le-a, and then real parents actually ran with it and named their daughters that.

Idk what this means, but it's probably not quite accurate because Lisa was ridiculously common. Lisa ranked #1 for several years, and this is back when being #1 actually meant something. Kayla came into use once there was a wider variety of names, and it was never even in the top 10.
I like Jyler, Nevaeh, Aleighah, Kwinten, Newcastle, and Zailani.
The only one i like is Kayla
