Let's give Dwayne a chance.
Seriously, should we give Dwayne a chance of being a good name? Possibly return in popularity?

I think it will make a comeback, but not now. Maybe in 20-30 years. However, I prefer Wayne, and this one has more chances of returning.
Sure, and let's prod the old sick horse to its weary feet and try to make it jump like a young colt again.
Not gonna happen.
There's currently an elementary aged child in the school I work at named Dwayne so there's a chance it's slowly making a comeback.
I was going to say no…but I guess it is nice on Dwayne the Rock…and maybe a sweet old grandpa…and maybe a teen from the 60s…ok I guess I don’t hate it! I could maybe even envision a cute modern toddler named Dwayne. But there are better names out there.
I don't mind it. It's much better than Wayne imo.But I don't love it and would be surprised if it became popular again, at least in the next 20 years, in the US.
I'm good without it, I'd rather see a resurgence of Wayne.
I grew up knowing both a Dwayne and a Duane. While not my favourite name in the world, it's far from the worst. I'd love for it to make a "middle of the road" comeback - not extremely popular, but popular enough to be normal (if that makes sense).Of the 2, Duane is my favourite.
I don't know. My brother's middle name is Dwaine, and he hates it.
The D and W sounds are too close for me. I prefer Wayne. It might regain popularity if there is a character or figure with the name, but it currently does not seem to follow any naming trend.
I just don't like that 'dw-' sound. Dwayne, Dwight, it sounds dweeb-y.
It was never popular in my country, and I like it even less than I like Wayne - that is, not at all. It might well regain popularity if some prominent person or character named Dwayne becomes well known in a positive way; then nature will take its course.
