Abdiel - "servant of God"
Abiel - "God is my father"
Elijah - "my God is Yahweh"
Elisha - "my God is salvation"

More Hebrew Biblical names seem to put the emphasis on what God has done/ does than on what man does for God. Maybe they don't want a name to be self-aggrandizing? I'm not sure about the cultural reasons, but it does seem common.
