Cute! I usually prefer Alice to Alis but I like the story behind your choice of Alis. I'm in Czechia, and I know a couple named Radmila and Jaromír who have a son Radomír. I think it's a lovely way to honor both parents as long as the result looks like a legit name and not like a forced mashup of names.
Alis is nice and neat, but I'd personally prefer Alanis or Alison. I'm into longer names, lol.
