Need names for a couple in my story
They aren't main characters (yet) they're more of a concept. Anyway, they're a lesbian couple living in the wilderness. One likes to travel while her partner stays home and looks after their home and the land surrounding it. I'm considering the names Mordra for the stay-at-home witch and Serena for the traveler. What do you think? Please give your opinions on the names and any suggestions you may have. I love the names, but I'm having second thoughts about Serena. Maybe it's too early to give them names, I don't even know what they're like yet. Thank you!Edit: this is set in a high fantasy world I'm creating. They're part of many characters and stories I'm writing.

Mordra is perfect. I also like Serena but if you want to explore others:Mordra and Evanthe
Mordra and Evadne
Mordra and Calista
Mordra and Rowenna / Rowena
Mordra and Chrysanthe
Mordra and Xanthe
Mordra and Selene
Mordra and Lucine
Mordra and Saskia
Mordra and Iskra
Mordra and Nelida
Mordra and Asha
Mordra and Ruxandra
I love Serena, but I don't like Mordra. Wanda is a good witch name.
Yeah but it's a bit old lady and cliche.
Mordra is a great witch name. I agree with changing Serena... Seriya, Sorcha, Acacia, Archana, Soraya, Serket, Serhana, Siarwen, Laeria?
Mordra is odd, but not bad. I don't like it, but it's alright. It's a good name for a witch. As for Serena, it looks too plain when compared to Mordra. Suggestions:Witch:Velta, Karmela, Zabel, Lilita, Morgaine, Oona, Hecuba, Novella, Gytha, Sirje, Esyllt, Kelda, Herleva, Aenor, Matrona, Velvela, Serket, Nerthus, Dymphna, Sorrel, Anchera, Falkny, Uirne, Merewyn, Saelova, Floire, Egidia, Valbjörk, Mélitte, Heidelore, Nyeste, Euriel, Juverna, Achlys, Lyonor, Viorika, Sigyn, Xilda, Katrinel, Fridolina.Traveler:Kassia, Cyrene, Amice, Rianne, Maris, Portia, Selah, Helvi, Cordula, Topaz, Arwen, Miela, Steren, Idony, Liora, Rosalee, Neith, Aldara, Taide, Noya, Lauria, Ivika, Agathie, Noeline, Clivia, Astery, Romi, Madline, Icaria, Elodea, Kallia, Aralet, Yvaine, Journa, Oriole, Veleda, Koralie, Siriol, Hesper, Mirith.
In my opinion Mordra sounds weird
Is it supposed to be high or low fantasy? As a reader, I can't stand it when "normal" names pop up stories where the setting/world building is supposed to be totally unrelated to the reader's reality. I find it so distracting when the characters are named things like Dytbyk, Seku, Kuavir and Ben. I'll be obsessing over the mystery of Ben instead of getting into the story.Anyway, if it's an entirely different world, scrap Serena. Change it to Sarene or Sreana or something, just a little twist. But I will also say that "Serena and Mordra" sounds a bit obviously hinting at a "light and dark/good and evil" theme. Maybe that works for the story though. (Love Mordra, btw.)
High fantasy. There's lots of 'weird' names in my story. And both are benevolent characters, I think. I haven't gotten to develop them much yet.
Hi!I've immediately loved the name Mordra.Serena is far too colorless, boring and plain compared with it.
Thank you. It popped into my head one day and I thought, 'that would be great for a witch'. What would you suggest in place of Serena? They live in a marsh, by the way. It's a treehouse-hut type thing.

Hi!I would pair something as interesting as Mordra because Serena seems too normal/real life plus as IRL is overused. What about:Mordra & Pleione
Mordra & Charlène (French)
Mordra & April
Mordra & Urania
Mordra & Marcia
Mordra & Rheia
Mordra & Camilla
Mordra & Alethea
Mordra & Andressa
Mordra & Marceline
Mordra & Thalia
Mordra & Hermine
Mordra & Dorota
Mordra & Hrefna
Mordra & Danai
Mordra & Muirne
Mordra & Mila
Mordra & Rohesia
Mordra & CaeliaThese are more balanced with Mordra.Mordra/Serena seems the cliché dark/light as New_Chloe said while other names would be more interesting. Do you like any?
